A Mosaic of Me

I got this idea from Warrior Girl

I made a meme--this is how the meme works:
Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr search.
Using only the first page, choose an image.
Copy and paste each of the URL’s into the mosaic maker over at FD's image maker.

The questions:
What is your first name?
What is your favorite food? (Mexican--more specifically Cafe Rio Chicken Salad)
What high school did you attend? (Davis High)
What is your favorite color? (The cream color of a wedding gown)
Who is your celebrity crush? (James McAvoy)
Favorite drink? (Water)
Dream vacation? (Greece...since it's my next one!)
Favorite dessert? (Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice cream)
What do you want to be when you grow up? (Photographer)
What do you love most in life? (Love)
One word to describe you. (Natural)
Your Flickr name (it's a French word, but this is one of the things that came up for it, although, in French it means "woods"

It's a poetic portrait without words. I like it.

It was fun to learn more things about you! My celebrity crush is totally James McAvoy too! (Since seeing him in Becoming Jane - I like to think I was ahead of the curve.)

I would love to get Cafe Rio salad and Choc PB ice cream with you sometime! :)

Let's include a James McAvoy movie onto the list for that evening and it would be perfect!

I have admired his talent from way back, but yes, I was a sucker for his dashing-rogue-set-straight all-for-love in "Becoming Jane"...have you ever seen "Rory O'Shea was Here"--he plays a young man confined to a wheelchair who befriends another young man with cerebral palsy. It will blow you away how amazing he is!

He is starting to get a bit popular, if he sells out, then, I'll find a new up and coming crush (oh how fickle the fans can be!)

Eduardo will be CRUSHED, D'Arcy.... in fact, what is that I see off in the distance? Why yes, I believe it's his lower lip beginning to tremble and.... yes indeed, a tiny puddle of tears is pooling up in his eyes.

Oh, you've gone and Broken His Heart now. :-)

Seriously, though, I really liked this little photo collage of you - that's a really cool idea! I may have to do one of those as well.

By the way - what the heck does "meme" mean anyway? And how do you pronounce it? (I want to make sure my internal monologue is correct over here....) :-)

btw - one last thing - I'm wondering if your CD might have gotten lost... I'm running to my mailbox every single day but so far (alas) no CD. However, maybe since it's coming from such a long distance, it's taking a bit longer. I am waiting with baited breath to hear D'Arcy's Musical Tastes!! :-)

I love it. So pretty and wistful.

Glad you enjoyed it. I hope it was less scary for you than it was for me. I still haven't got the references in. blargh.

HWHL: Eduardo doesn't want to be objectified anymore, James McAvoy has made no such claims. I simply giving Eduardo the respect he deserves.

I don't know what a meme is really, I figured it was an internet term that Rowena was using, and I stole it completely from her. I just googled it and came up with some interesting things.

Where is that CD? I did get it mailed off a few days later, but it's been about a week now, I bet it will come tomorrow!

Rowena: The references didn't look pretty on my page, but I have them and if anyone wants them, email me and I will send them. See, I am all about making my blog aesthetically pleasing instead of copyright accurate!

I loved the poetic aspect of this. Maybe I'll get around to doing one. Looks like it takes time!

OK, I got mine up! I looked up "meme" too. It's from "mimesis," basically an imitation or cultural practice that gets passed along from one person to the next.

I love this idea. I have realized lately that I need to spend some time defining myself. Answering those questions is a good start. Can't get where I want to end up if I don't have any idea where I want to end up. Does that make sense. But I'm pretty sure I can't do this meme at work, even on the one magic computer that let's me on blogger.
