Happy Birthday Blog!!

That's right, look at the little blog, she is all grown up! It was almost one year ago that I posted my very first post.

The Fourth of July, a time for fireworks, popsicles, potato salad, beautiful sunsets, and family traditions. It's always been one of the best holidays to spend at home. My parents have the perfect yard to see fireworks from 6 different locations (the best one featured in the above photo), the grandkids are growing and their excitement is catching!
( For clean photos of this little one, see the photo blog) Anna and I just ate red popsicles and were showing each other our tongues. She's learned all her features and loves to point them out and talk about them!
The evening of the fourth always starts with a beautiful orange sunset that I take in with delight each year.
It always changes from orange to gold.
And ends with gold to pink to purple. Each one is different, but each one makes me feel the same.
Riley is the Martha Stewart of the family and always has decorations to spare for each occasion.
The two cousins telling secrets and sharing giggles.
When the pack of fireworks is bigger than the children, you know it's gonna be a good time!!
Thank you to all of you who have made blogging so entertaining, thought provoking, and wonderful!! Here's to another great year!

Happy Birthday to the Blog! (amazing how fast a year goes by, isn't it?)

WOW - your parents have a BEAUTIFUL view off their front porch.... (didn't you say it overlooks a lake?) Anyway, the pictures are gorgeous and I can tell the little ones were JUMPING UP AND DOWN with excitement. We went to a neighborhood party that had probably 50 people and lots of fireworks... had a blast. 4th of July is a wonderful holiday!

HWHL: Yes, my parents have the best view from their yard, it takes in the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island. Sadly, the field that was once vast and sprawling in front of our home has just been made into a cookie cutter housing development. My parents are starting to feel a little squeezed in and might consider moving soon.

Thanks for the award! That was fun, I mistook the "Bella" for the movie instead of an actually person you know (see where my mind goes) and thus the reason for the shout out to Eduardo. It makes no sense, I know, it was early. I was tired.

Happy Birthday! Your blog seems so mature for a yearling.

I've been doing my blog for three and a half years, and started blogging over four years ago, but never really got going until this March. (Life is weird) So I guess you could say I'm only a few months old. Or maybe a few months into my blog's second life.

It is an awesome medium, though, isn't it?

Such a fun 4th. How nice that the whole nation decided to have fireworks for your blog.
