Kia ora D'Arcy, Very cool, has a very nice presence. I found a perfect photo of Coltrane to match my vision. Will figure out how to send it to you. Rangimarie, Robb
Remember when I posted about making a friend a CD for her birthday and you left a comment saying you wanted one on your birthday. Well, now I know what I want from you :)
I get what you said about the difference between photography and painting. Photography is about the outside world, what you see.
Painting is about the inside world and your interpretation of that onto paper or canvas. I wrote before about how I don't know what I feel until I paint about it. It's a new realization and I'm still coming to understand it. I think you get where I'm coming from, though. http://warriorgirl.blogspot.com/2008/06/i-dont-know-how-i-feel.html

Love it. I especially am drawn to the background. It seems so serene and calming to me.
Good job on shading. Her posture looks very real. Ponderous, really ponderous!
You are so talented D'Arcy! Seriously!
btw - the CD did come today - can't wait to listen to it!
Thank you! :-)

They all have closed eyes!
Been doing a lot of internal reflection lately?

Rowena caught something there... definite internal reflection happening... and I love the use of colors in the background. Very soothing. What talent!
you are right!
I just posted one with eyes, and have one more I did with eyes that I will post, but the one I am working on now doesn't even have features!
It means something. It definitely does!
I'm so behind on blogging. I just want to say that I feel lucky to have you as a friend and am excited to meet you! :)
